About Jim

A long connection to East Bethel and a practical approach to local government.

Jim Smith first bought property in East Bethel in 1978 and returned to the community in 2014. His public service has included the Roads Commission, Planning Commission, and East Bethel City Council.

Before joining the Council, Jim gained experience with the kinds of issues that shape everyday life in East Bethel: roads, land use, property questions, development, and the practical effects of city regulations.
